ANOTHER BLOWHARD OPENS HIS YAP
I present for your amusement, my destruction of American idiot, David Livingston.
As a child, I remember summer weekends when we would go to Canada to swim at Sherkston, listen to band concerts at Brock's Monument and watch the ships go through the Welland Canal. We spent so much time there, that I was 8 years old before I realized I wasn’t Canadian.Okay, right from the start David wants us to know he was an idiot as a child. Perhaps this is so we'll excuse his idiocy as an adult.
It’s because I had such affection for Canada and its people that I find it so painful to watch a nation I once loved drift away from the values that made it great.Honest honey, I only beat you because I love you.
Since 1945, there has been a pattern of Canadian reluctance to share the burden of defending freedom.Let's examine that pattern. We joined the Yanks in Korea, Gulf War I, Bosnia and Afghanistan. In between these "refusals" to help out we've had peacekeeping missions in more than a dozen areas, such as Cyprus, where conflict has arisen. We've been a staunch ally in NATO and we worked hand in hand developing and implementing NORAD. But dammit, we forgot the gravy so I guess none of that counts.
If their shameful lack of responsibility were not bad enough, our neighbor to the north appears, at times, to take delight in subverting America’s attempt to deal with terrorism.I'm sorry, next time we'll fly Maher Arar over to Syria ourselves so he can be tortured. Really now, we take delight in subverting America's attempt to deal with terrorism? This man should be beaten with a stick until he can cite even one example of how Canada has interfered in America's fight against the turrists.
Canadians are justifiably proud of their quality of life without ever acknowledging that they can afford expensive governmental programs because they depend on the United States to spend trillions of dollars to protect them.Okay, I speak for the entire Canadian population when I release you from this horrible burden. And I'd like to apologize for making you poor Americans defend us all those times.
In 2004, the U.S. population was 10 times greater than Canada (293 million vs. 30 million) but we spent about 50 times more money than they did on maintaining a viable military deterrent ($420 billion vs. $9.1 billion). America’s per capita spending on the military was $1,433, compared to Canada’s $303.Is it really our fault that Americans are a bunch of chumps who spend far too much money on their military? I mean, it amounts to more than the next ten nations combined. Are Americans so paranoid that they have to be prepared to defend themselves from a simultaneous attack by ten nations? Besides that, it should be pointed out that there are approximately 30,000 Canadians serving in the US armed forces right now. So we more than make up for the spending deficit by providing manpower to the US military. However, if it will make Americans like this idiot feel better, the next time Canada needs defending they can just send over those 30,000 Canadians to do it.
The armed forces have so long been neglected that they are little more than a parade ground police force that is more suited to protecting food shipments than engaging in real battle. This is just plain ignorant. But then, what else would you expect from an ignorant right whinger.
The refusal of the government to live up to its obligations shifts more of the burden to allies like England who are willing to take part in the struggle to preserve democracy around the world.Sorry chump, but invading Iraq does not count as preserving democracy around the world. At best it's forcing democracy down the throat of a sovereign nation.
I suppose it's natural to leave the fighting to others if you can, but what is particularly galling is the Canadian’s incessant criticism. Americans are used to having to fight everyone else's battles, but if we’re sending our young men and women to die in the place of Canadians, the least they could do is not subvert our efforts.Climb down off the cross, idiot. America is criticized because America thinks it's beyond criticism and can do whatever it wants. And it's not Canada's fault that America keeps getting itself into quagmires. If they listened to our criticism instead of mewling about it, they would have avoided two of them.
The following statistics give a clear picture of the discrepancy between the two nations in regards to wartime casualties. Since 1945, the United States has lost 120,000 men while Canada lost 291. America has lost more than 412 times as many men in combat as Canada has in that time frame. Now this idiot is just getting creepy. Is he saying he'd be satisfied if more Canadians had died? That aside, the number seems rather low and I doubt it includes the Canadians who joined the US armed forces and were killed in Vietnam.
You may recall that last year a handful of Canadian soldiers were killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan. These incidents are an unfortunate side effect of combat, but it certainly is not uncommon. When the Canadian troops died, the entire country was enraged that our President did not drop everything and run to Canada to show our respect,Wrong. Canadians were enraged because some trigger happy dumbass Yank fragged our boys.
yet daily, we lose men in Iraq and I have never heard of word of condolence offered by a single Canadian official. Why should they when American officials rarely offer a word of condolence? Why should they when it wasn't our soldiers who killed them?
It seems that Canada actually enjoys nipping at America's heals while we are engaged in a deadly struggle with Al Qaeda, whose mission is to destroy us as well as them.Seriously, can we drop the absurd notion that Al Qaeda has even a teeny tiny insignificant flyspeck of a chance of destroying America? Besides, if an organization that consists of at best 60,000 poorly armed members can take out the world's greatest superpower, I think Canada nipping at America's heels is the least of America's problems.
We are frequently reminded that Canada is a sovereign nation which makes decisions independent of the United States. That would be OK, except that everybody knows if it came to a threat, Canada would plead for protection from the military they so readily scorn today.I already released America from it's burden to defend Canada from the evil people who are lining up to get us if only America would just mind its own damned business.
They take delight in criticizing everything we do while they hunker down hoping that if they’re quiet enough, the terrorists won’t notice them. Better that America be the target.Does anyone else think this idiot whinges too much about being criticized? That aside, Canadians simply aren't afraid of terrorists lurking under their beds. Well, at least the non-right whinging ones aren't.
In typical Canadian fashion, Prime Minister Tony MartinKeerist. This dullard doesn't even know our Prime Minister's name. How does he expect anyone to take him seriously? At least he didn't refer to our PM as Dean Martin.
has said that his country would not take part in developing a missile shield for North America because, "It would militarize outer space."Wrong. The PM hasn't clarified why he stayed out of the missile shield. But that's only fair since Bush has never clarified what our involvement would entail.
I suspect the real reason they’ve rejected the missile shield is because they are afraid we might ask them to help foot the bill or maybe they're worried that a missile aimed at Washington might end up hitting Toronto by mistake.Hey, who wouldn't be concerned that the Americans would ask us to help foot the bill for a trillion dollar boondoggle. We don't have anyone named Rockefeller in our country after all.
What is most baffling of all is that hundreds of Canadians were killed in the 9/11 attacks,It was dozens. I believe the exact number was somewhere around 40. Idiot.
and Canada was perfectly content to hold a few memorial services for their murdered countrymen and then quietly get back to life as usual.Please. How can we forget when some American blowhard, like this one, keeps bringing it up every ten minutes.
How can a nation be so devoid of emotion that they are incapable of getting angry enough to at least try to fight back?We went to Afghanistan. You know, the country where the perpetrator of the crime was.
Apparently, sending a couple hundred soldiers to Afghanistan is enough to assuage their guilt over the lack of a backbone. It was considerably more than a couple hundred soldiers, asswipe.
One can imagine the humiliation of Canadian World War 11 veterans who recall an earlier day when their country could be counted on to stand in the breach against the depredations of tyrants in Germany and Japan.I think not. The WWII vets fought against actual tyrants who were bent on taking over huge portions of the globe. Iraq was a busted up hellhole that couldn't invade anyone any longer. This comparison, besides being absurd, is disrespectful.
There was a time when Canadians were people you could depend on to cover your back. Whatever happened to that proud nation?Funny, but I do recall Canada allowing planes to land on our soil, no questions asked even though they might have posed a danger to us, on 9/11. It's been pointed out that Canada has been there numerous times. And Canada has spent billions securing our shared continent.
So really all this blowhard is whinging about, is that Canada won't obey Washington every time they bark an order to us. It's absurd for this idiot to expect Canada to be nothing more than a puppet on a string and his lack of knowledge about the country he's taken the time to criticize only serves to reinforce the notion that Americans--at least the right whinging variety--are stupid.
That was fun. Any other dumbasses want to line up for an ass kicking?
Happy thoughts to you.
