Memo To Right Whingers
Ward Churchill said nothing wrong. Eason Jordan said nothing wrong. Right whingers say worse things every fucking day.
And unless you've actually read Dyer's book, shut your piehole about it because you aren't qualified to comment on it. In fact, just shut your piehole anyway because you aren't qualified to comment on anything.
The Right Is Wrong Again
Remember when the right whingers claimed Air America would never make it? They were in fact making that claim even before it took to the air. Well, that's just one more thing they were wrong about. Not only is Air America about to turn one year old, it's thriving and growing.
I'm Not Going To Disneyland
It looks like Bush's unpopularity is stopping many Canadians from travelling to the US despite the high value of our dollar.
Since 2002, the close relationship between the dollar and the extent of travel by Canadians to the United States has broken down. The loonie has risen in value, but for the first time in 20 years the number of Canadians travelling south of the border has not responded.Can't say as I blame them. Given the current climate of fear, oppression and outright stupidity on the part of the right whingers down there, I wouldn't want to travel to that third world hellhole either.
During the first 11 months of 2004, Canadians made 21.4 million same-day auto trips south of the border. Despite the value of the loonie, this was only marginally higher than the level of 20.9 million for 2003 as a whole, which was a post-1974 low.
What I Heard About Iraq
Eliot Weinberger assembles all the lowlights of Bush and Cheney's Excellent Quagmire in one easy to read article. How anyone can still support these two stooges after reading this is beyond me.
